We truly hope that you can help us to help others find the resources they need at WellSpring and show our community that there is no room for domestic violence. Let’s help WellSpring exceed their goals, accept the challenge today and enter to will the beautiful Purple Purse! Let’s help end this fundraiser on a high note with the highest amount of donations in the entire country!
In Saratoga County, domestic violence is the number one cause of family homelessness, and the number two crime and number two cause of homicide. WellSpring strives to meet the growing demand for services in Saratoga County to support domestic violence survivors. At the same time, they aspire to reduce the prevalence of sexual and relationship violence by putting greater focus on prevention, early intervention, and service accessibility.
At WellSpring, the mission is to support survivors and engage the community to end relationship and sexual abuse. Each year, the crisis intervention and survivor services support more than 1,000 clients – providing safe housing to adults and children either fleeing or homeless because of domestic violence, as well as comprehensive support in the form of counseling, legal advocacy, and case management.
The Allstate Foundation Purple Purse Challenge is an annual friendly fundraising competition in October during Domestic Violence Awareness Month. Nonprofit organizations serving domestic violence survivors around the U.S. compete to raise the most money. The top fundraisers have the opportunity to win grand prize cash donations totaling $350,000 from the Allstate Foundation.
The fundraiser will take place until October 31st.
