Or shall we say “Spooky Season” as my daughter calls it! Time for beautiful foliage, cornstalks, cozy clothes, apple pie and everything PUMPKIN!!
This is a new season, a fresh start to some healthy new habits. October is a month for grounding!! Stay rooted in your purpose! As the temperatures drop and the trees and plants lose foliage, their energy returns to the root. We, like plants, can thrive during the autumn months by focusing on our root purpose. Now is the time to re-evaluate and think about what brings value to your life.
Here are some helpful tips. Bring out those sweaters and scarves, leggings and boots for apple picking and some cool morning walks. Enjoy the seasonal produce that makes this season so tasty. Some yummies of the season are apples (of course), beets, broccoli, brussel sprouts, bell peppers, cabbage, carrots, cauliflower, eggplant, kale and squash. Rake some leaves (great exercise) and then jump in them! Carve a pumpkin or two and roast those pumpkin seeds. Get ready for the time change and go to bed a bit earlier…longer days means a longer snooze. Find a new book or a new show and grab some cozy new socks and your favorite blanket and people and relax. Be kind to yourself and enjoy this beautiful season. Remember to express true gratitude for your blessings and set some intentions for what you need. Then when spring comes you are ready to blossom, just like the plants again.
Shine your light friends!
